So, Emily? I saw "Garden State." Finally.

In fact, we went into GameStop to buy Halo2 for my brother and it was in the movie rack, on sale, so we bought it ON YOUR WORD ALONE. You so rock. [!!!!!!!!!] [No, really. !!!!!!!!!!]

I now have a new favorite movie. [And so does my mom... I foresee us watching it many many times in the future.] It's just so... amazing! The way it's filmed, the acting [Natalie Portman can act? Who knew?], the directing, all of it combining into a perfect whole that makes me want to spend all of my waking hours watching it over and over and over. Heh. But really. Thanks. *huggles you*

GAH, YES! Yeah, it's kinda weird, but just go with it, people! It all makes sense, I SWEAR! Just... stay with it a few minutes longer!

Personally, I loved it from the moment the orchestra played "Sound of Music." After that, I was sold.

Ah.... and now I want to rewatch Moulin Rouge.

I always say that the first twenty mintues is MR on crack. I can see how weird it is to someone the first time they see it. The the entire movie seems to finally "normalize" when Satine drops from the ceiling to sing. For some reason it's as if the crack clears up.

Heck YEAH it's on crack. I remember when I got my mom to watch it for the first time, I kept reassuring her that it wasn't all like this, it did calm down just a bit later on... Luckily she enjoyed it from the get-go.
