I happened to stumble across an interesting list of future films today. Apparently Hollywood is taking the potential SAG strike seriously, and is going to cram in as much filming as possible before that date. Nice going, guys. Good luck with that.

This is a very strange list.

What's with all the remakes? A Christmas Carol, Escape from Witch Mountain, Day the Earth Stood Still (They're kidding, right? It's an homage, right? NO.), Creature from the Black Lagoon (There's also a Wolfman and a Dracula movie slated. Maybe Abbot and Costello can show up and have a wacky adventure!), Land of the Lost...

The A-Team? Really? Really?!

The potential film that most upsets me: the Sherlock Holmes movie. THERE IS NO SHERLOCK HOLMES BUT JEREMY BRENT. And maybe Basil Rathbone. And Data on those episodes of TNG. BUT OTHER THAN THAT, a Holmes movie is an abomination. (An abomination I'll be paying 7.50 to go see, because I'm pathetic. Damn you, Warner Brothers!!)

My favorite potential movie: Captain Awesome. I'd go see that! I'd go see that in a heartbeat!

I...Just...wow. I am so glad I never heard of that movie. The only way Holmes could possibly of had a child is a) he was extremely drunk and inhibited (huge impossibility) and b) being said drunk, fell onto a hooker and started humping her.

There is just so much wrong with him possibily having descendants, so much wrong.

SERIOUSLY. It's just so incredibly unlikely.

Unless the hooker was dressed like Watson.

Unless he also donated to a sperm bank (highly improbable since they did not exist in Holmes's day and age) in his younger years.

THANK YOU! ...And get out of my head...

Mom was all, "Maybe he had a fiance in his youth, and they were married, and then she died, and their child was raised by" bla blah blah improbablility cakes. Which is JUST AS LIKELY as the sperm bank option. BECAUSE HE DID NOT HAVE CHILDREN.

You're quite welcome. But it's comfy in there!!

Exactly, and we can deduce (ahahaha, I slay me) from what Watson knows from him that Holmes did not have any romanctic relationships apart from the mad humping of Watson in his life...EVER.

Hee... *sigh* Oh, all right, but be careful of that pillow. It's really a wombat.

OMG YES. In fact, I think when I get finished with the stack of books I'm currently reading, I will go through my book that has every single Holmes story in it and search for any references to his relationships because I am obsessed and scary.

Good thing I'm carrying wombat chow!

The only woman who has ever caught his attention was Irene Adler in "The Scandal in Bohemia."

Really good. *sagely nod*
