GAAAAAAAAH.

I've had hiccups, on and off [mostly on] since around lunchtime.

They won't go away. I've been scared, I've sipped water upside down, I've held my breath, but nothing is working.

I would be amused if it weren't for some reason screwing with my asthma. And my sinuses.

I'm hiccupping roughly every ten seconds, I can't breathe, and my nose is running like you wouldn't believe.

Anyone got a cure?

Well, the hiccups have stopped, but now my lungs aren't very happy.

...I came in to offer help, but I think you folks are beyond it.

So I'm showing off my shiny new icon. *grins*

*giggle*

Seriously, though, I'm using it all over, wherever I can use an icon. If it were small enough, I'd use it as an AIM icon, too. *giggle* I'm crazy for it. I can't thank you enough.

Try to control your breathing. Take a deep breath hold it for a bit and let it out, keep on doing this for awhile till you feel your breathing even out.

If that doesn't work, then don't breathe for awhile. When the hiccups die down, take small controlled breaths.

That's all I can give for advice. Your hiccups sound like the ones I get at times and those two are the only ways I know of curing it.

Usually that works fine for me. But not last night. And when I was able to get them to go away, they just came back fifteen minutes later.

*sigh*

I hope they're gone now... *crosses fingers*

Get a straw and a glass of water.
Insert straw in water.
Plug ears.
Hold breath, and drink entire glass of water in one go.

I have no idea why, but it works.

Drink it through the straw, I mean.
