In accordance with my policy of naming things so that I will take better care of them, I've finally named my two cacti.
The tall thin prickly one that leans badly to one side is now known as House. It leans so badly I might have to prop it up. Do they make cactus-sized canes?
The smaller round prickly extremely cute one is now known as Rodney.
I still need a name for my massive bromeliad. I wonder what one names a large cumbersome spikey plant with a lopsided bloom that must be watered down its throat every few days?
*sigh*

You sure are going to have some snarky plants there...

I'm starting to worry about House, though. He's leaning at an alarming rate. *frets*

*whittles out a cacti-sized cane for House*

Now, who will win this momentous snarkfest? Cripply Cacti House or the newly, perforated, Know-It-All McKay?...dum dumdum dum. Only time will tell.

(Spanish moss is in that family too, but that isn't really all that exciting.)

Crabbe?
Or maybe Goyle?
(Me, reading HP6 right now? No....)

Another good suggestion. Except it's kind of pretty, in a strange lopsided way. I dunno. This is why it hasn't gotten a name yet.
Ooooh! When you're done with HP6, let me know what you thought!

*loves on Draco so so much*
Hrm, large, cumbersome, spikey and sort of cute...Neville?
no subject
Oooh! It does mesh nicely with Neville, doesn't it?
*squints speculatively at plant*
no subject
Yes, it fits Neville rather well. Up to you, of course. I've yet to see if it fits Slughorn, but I think it's close.

*clears throat*
Anyway. Oooh. Slughorn. Now I'm conflicted.
But hey! Slughorn likes pinapple; Robyn informed me that bromeliads are related to pinapples... *chews lip*
no subject
But of course, it is your plant. And the pineapple thing *is* convincing.
*kicks work again*

You know, you're right. Neville gets NO love. Ever. Poor tyke. And he's always getting hurt or cursed or some such.
Hm. I think it sticks.

On pg. 602. Grr. Argh.

*clings to Neville* Aww, that scene when they're in St Mungo's... tears at my heartstrings.

Pg. 614. Want to vomit. >.< Grr, argh...
