OMG The Aviator. Words cannot describe. I take back anything snide I’ve ever said about the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Howard Hughes in general. Because dang. That was one good movie. It was like a train wreck. A what-if of astounding proportions. Man was a genius. Leo acted the snot out of this role. DiCaprio can crazehbeans with the best of them. Also. The idea of Cate Blanchett as Hepburn had had me worried, but girl can act. Stunning job.

Effects were beautifully rendered. I’d be watching a scene, thinking “Wow… he sure is flying well,” only to realize that I’d been watching a CG model. Beautiful. Just beautiful.


I am, however, vaguely unsettled by Terry O'Quinn's resemblence in various ways to Howard Hughes.

Totally. And it doesn't help that my whole family knows it now, so whenever I get it out of my head, one of them will walk by humming it and it'll get stuck again.
