stoopbeckStarted up my summer job. Hard physical labor in the hot sun, woo. I work for my mom, one of the toughest taskmasters ever. She is immensely strong and figures we all are too, which can lead to issues. The other two people working with me are guys who do this sort of thing for a living.
We spent an hour hoeing rows of vegetables in rock-hard dirt under an unforgiving sun. We spent another hour cleaning wysteria out of a wasp-infested hedge. Good times. I couldn't allow myself to rest or be slower than the guys, because that'd be a blow to all we've worked so hard to blah blah blah feminism cakes. As a result, I've got blisters on both hands and a sliced finger. But hey! I kept up!
I taught Dad a new game. I've found that if you add certain phrases to normal words, they come out sounding uber cool. One such phrase is "of DOOM." Example: Kleenex of DOOM. Spork of DOOM. Toe-sock of DOOM. Another is "Peruvian Death." Example: Peruvian Death monkey. Peruvian Death frogs. Another is "The rare." As in, "The rare golden duck." What's really fun is adding all of them together.
"Look! The rare Peruvian Death flower! Of DOOM!"
Yes. I am a geek.
