I just got back from the dentist's.

Is it... bad that I almost enjoyed it? Having my teeth cleaned and prodded with sharp shiny implements gave me the same accomplished feeling I used to get when I went to piano lessons. Go figure.

The water-sucky-thing, the extra large grit toothpaste, the annoyingly bright light... somehow they all add together to make a whole that makes me happy.

But then, I don't have a problem with getting shots, either. I guess I'm just a mutant. :]

Well, if I were being totally honest, I'd have to say I love the cleaning part too. I just hate the flossing and the poking-with-extremely-sharp-implements part...

The worst part was about halfway through the whole cleaning bit some poor guy was getting drilled in the room next to mine. Gah. That's the worst sound ever.

Any dental appointment in which I avoid the drill fills me with elation.
