So I get in, check my e-mail for the first time since Monday, look over my LJ f-list [and, as a bit of interest, I had to go back 50 or so posts to get to where I last left off.... crazy] and I'm just settling in when I hear something hitting the window. Hail. Dime-mebbe-nickle sized hail.
Just then, Mom calls to tell me Montgomery's under tornado warning. I worry.
Sirens go off. I worry.
Then the RA's came knocking to tell us to go downstairs.
I sit in the hall downstairs for an hour. I am totally bored out of my skull for the most part.
Apparently at least three tornadoes touched down, and countless funnels were sighted. I just hope this doesn't happen again later while I'm catching up on shows!
But right now I'm really worried about Sarah. Hopefully she's not driving in this. *crosses fingers and worries about missing roomie*
I had the flu, basically. I know. Fun stuff. But on the plus side, on Friday I went by Movie Stop and found the ep collection of Firefly on sale. I am now the proud owner of every Firefly ep in existance! Wooo!
I am also getting antsy about the movie. Is it time yet? *checks watch* Is it time yet now? What about now?
Also, I impressed my brother to no end by knowing many tiny details about the X-Men. Go me. Yay for random knowledge.
Ahh, it's good to be a geek.

Date: 2005-03-27 10:28 pm (UTC)I really hope Sarah isn't driving in such bad weather either. You two should live in Germany, where Easter monday is a national holiday.
And why is your icon pink? What about our non-pinkness oath?

Speaking of the evils of pink... My brother has an Xbox game in which you can be various members of the X-Men. Some of the most evil things we fight are these giant mutant killing robots. The way you can tell they're evil? They're all PINK. ALL OF THEM.
*looks at icon again* I swear, it's not pink! Please don't revoke my membership!

And that game really sound good. I love the X-Men and I hate pink.

Date: 2005-03-28 03:51 pm (UTC)It's a totally awesome game. And every time one of the pink bad guys appears, my brother says "Pink-- the color of evil" or "No wonder they're bad guys, they're pink!". I have him trained well!

Date: 2005-03-28 04:01 pm (UTC)Aw, man, I meant to tell you earlier. My brother went to Space Camp and brought me back this really cool shirt that has scifi-ish writing on it saying "Only space aliens are capable of reading this message [so what planet are you from?]." It's a totally awesome shirt. Only problem? The text-- is pink. Hot pink. There's no other way to describe it but pink.
This saddens me deeply.
