GAHHHHH!

So. If I am told to go see someone at a certain time, I do. Just because some sewer sucking pompous donkey chasm decided that I wasn't worth his time...

But enough ranting! Fun things happened today. Sarah's movie came in the mail, and Laura and I watched and squee'd as our bit part came up... Beautiful movie, btw...

The weather was loverly, so we went for a walk and ended up stopping for a bit at Grandma's house... My roomies were awesome, they even patiently walked the dog with me. Hugs for all!

I just realized why I had to go this afternoon. I'd talked about walking to see them sometime, but I think after last night's dream-- I just had to go see them. I dreamt that my grandfather died, and while this always is a possiblity [as much as I hate the fact] I think I keep it out of my mind. He'll always be there, you know? And... I think I was worried that he might not be. Wow. Thanks, subconscious! Where would I be without you?

Other than that, my day has been so amazingly peachy that it's almost a bit ridiculous. Happiness abounds in the world of Alex today.

So I see they're rereleasing Bambi. Heh.

You know, I watched my copy of Bambi so religiously that the colors no longer stayed in the lines and the sound was all wobbly. Even now, if I hear a bit of a scene from Bambi, I could probably tell you exactly what was going on and who was talking. I cried every time Bambi's mother died. I think I recited the "Bir...duh" speech and the "Flower" speech half a million times. I made up lives for each of Thumper's siblings. I was freaked out every time I saw the mother animal inadvertantly eat her child. [I used to think I imagined this... but Katina remembers it too. She was also scared. What was with the editing in those days, anyway? You'd think they'd notice when a layer suddenly disappears like that.] And ohhh, the fire. "Get up, Bambi! GET UP!" Stupid Man and their stupid fires and their stupid guns... And hee... that brought back a memory of being four or five and hiding in a closet, while a friend hid in another closet, yelling across the house "Bambi!" "Filine!" "BAMBI!" "FILINE!" Good times, good times.

And that creepy owl... gah.

I'll have to watch it again... I don't think I've watched Bambi in years.
