stoopbeck: (Who in the what now?)
So. Today my life has been ruled by the television.

As soon as I got out of class for the day, I watched a Stargate ep. "Touchstone." It rocked.

Then I watched Apocolypse Now for English 212. Wow. No, really. Wow. I am still a bit stunned. I had seen some of it before, but... wow. Only problem? I have problems understanding dialogue at times. It makes it worse if the sound is kind of messed up. It makes it even worse if the dialogue you're straining to hear through both a bit of static, roomates, and the crazy people upstairs running down the hall is dialogue spoken by the King Of Mumbling Significant Lines Under His Breath Himself, Marlon Brando. Yeah. Great movie, just a leetle bit scary and scarring.

Then I watched a Smallville rerun. Then I watched the new Smallville ep for the week. Eh. The craziest thing about it was the fact that there were scenes on the preview that magically weren't on the actual show. Yeah. But it did explain why Lex's shirt was suddenly open.

Then Circle K meeting, then Lost. Oh. My. God. Lost. Wow. Except what was that ending? No, really. WHAT? Now I have to wait for two weeks after an episode that RESOLVED NOTHING? GAH! Plus side: we learned that golf, of all things, is the cure to all ills. Yeah, that's what I said. I know. Crazy. And the preview for two weeks from now? GAH! GAH! WHY WHY WHY??? *deep breath* Okay, okay... I'm going to get through this... GAAAAAAHHH

So yeah. And when will I have time to watch Memento for my paper? I'm comparing The Prisoner, either an individual episode or the whole show, to Memento. Should be relatively easy, but still. And now the professor's given me several outs, and I'm afraid I'm going to be tempted to be lazy and take them. Temptation is a bad thing. But I guess it means she does not, as I originally believed, think I have the intellectual capacity of pond scum. That's always a plus. *sigh*
