I finally saw The Dark Knight today.

Guys, I almost fell asleep. Multiple times. That was the movie everybody was raving about? I haven't been that bored in the theater since
Episode III.

Mr. Nolan needs to get himself an editor. And, um, ditch Christian Bale. Jesus, Batman, would it kill you to enunciate?

Aww, you didn't like it? I thought it was intense for the entire 2 and a half hours.

Same here. It was pretty intense.

But I think Iron Man has way more re-watchability...

I need to see it again before I can determine rewatchability but you're probably right.

It probably comes down to personal preference, really.

I think Iron Man was a better movie overall...

I'm sorry! I was too busy watching a slashy movie from the seventies with an adorably young Michael Caine!

Wow. Harsh.

Well, clearly something is wrong with you. So I'll forgive you. ;D

Dude, I wish I knew what was wrong with me so I could fix it and stop being a social pariah and ENJOY THE MOVIE already.

From: [identity profile] ewanspotter.livejournal.com
Heh. You're allowed to NOT like it. Sometimes we can't help what we do an do not like. Maybe you might like it more later (as a rental), when all the hoopla dies down.
From: [identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com
Heee, I know! I've just had people basically tell me I'm soulless for not liking it. NO LIE.

Jeez! I can be pretty hard on movies, as I'm sure you know, but comparing it to Episode III??? I can see it not being your cuppa, but you've gotta give it credit for SOMETHING...

Do agree with you on the count of Iron Man, though.

Um... the music was pretty?

Okay, okay, there was some great acting (although Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman were woefully underused), but Maggie Gyllenhaal sleepwalked through it and Christian Bale can't act his way out of a paper bag. The saddest thing is that I went in really expecting to enjoy it--I mean, come on, it's Batman, one of my earliest memories is playing Batman in my backyard.

Okay, okay, it was a better movie than Ep III, but really, that's not saying much.

When I went to see Iron Man for the first time I was expecting to hate it and it had me sold in the first five minutes. It took me about forty minutes to really get into The Dark Night, and then I lost interest about twenty minutes later. :(

Seriously! Everyone around me keeps saying it is the best but even the trailers do not hold any appeal to me. Not even the fact that this is Heath's final film.

I haven't even brought myself to watching Batman Begins!

Batman Begins is awesome if only for the fact that it has many scenes with the beautiful Cillian Murphy, and Michael Caine totally pwns in it as well.
