I kind of have bangs now. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Did they just kind of appear or something? Surely you should have known they were coming!

Yes. I woke up, and suddenly-- bangs!

Not really, although that would have been pretty darn awesome. I got tired of my hair this afternoon (I'm desperately attempting to grow it out, something I haven't been able to manage for the last few years) and it was either shave my head completely or cut off some bits, and now... bangs.

I think I like them, but it always takes me a few days to get used to a haircut.

I hope I never wake up and bangs have magically appeared. It would make me cry... I think.

Do you like them better now?

After a day's reflection, I definitely like them better. When they're not at enormously high puff levels.

Are puff levels high?

They are! Just in the bangs, though. So approximately ten percent of my hair has abnormally high puff levels. Woo!

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but bangs are never good.

In other news, I went and saw "Shutter" tonight with a friend. It was exactly like all those really terrible horror movies we always went to during our summer breaks. (I knew nothing about it before we went...I just went for Josh Jackson!)

Anyway, check it out: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482599/

I should have remembered this. I haven't had bangs since the fourth grade for a reason, dagnabbit! But they're not... horrible. I guess.

Dude. That sounds like a crazy movie! Was it worse than that one with Anna Paquin and the bed that ate colored pencils? What was that one called?

Hmm. Darkness? I think that was the name. The only reason this one was better than "Darkness" was because of Josh Jackson. He and Patrick Dempsey are my TV boyfriends. :)

That sounds right. Mmm, Josh Jackson!

Having just seen said bangs, they work for you. ;)

Thank you! I've gotten used to them, I think, and I think they help soften my face quite a bit.

*snuggles* I assume you made it back safely? :D

It's... okay? I guess? I mean, they're not, like, bangs bangs, and my hair is too curly for them to lie flat across my forehead, but still.

The nice thing about hair, though, is that it grows out.

You could get a straightener for the bangs.

I've thought about getting a straightener for my hair, period, but the one time I had it straightened it was amazingly magically straight for a grand total of two hours before it started to curl out. Best two hours of my life, though.

Yeah, straighting your full head of hair might not ever work, but you could probably "train" your bangs to flatten a little more if you keep doing it.

That would be pretty sweet, then. Right now I've got Jane Austen bangs, which is great and all when I'm at the Dance Hall exchanging banter with Mr. Darcy, but not so great when I just want to wear a t-shirt and jeans.

I picked that up somewhere. It's just really pretty.
