You know what breaks my heart?

That somewhere in the world Bat Boy is off fighting the good fight against Bigfoot's lovechild and somewhere people are finding the Virgin Mary's face in their Belgian waffles and somewhere the world's fattest cat is being abducted by Elvis-Presley-faced aliens EVEN AS I TYPE THIS, and we'll never know about it because they discontinued the Weekly World News.




(Yes, I know they continued it online, but it's JUST NOT THE SAME. I went to the grocery store and was confronted with OWEN AND JEN: COUPLE?!! and LOSE INCHES IN HOURS and WHY HE'S SLEEPING WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND and there was nary a mention of hillbillies shooting down angels or giant sewer crocs or vampires or anything. If I'm going to have to wait in line for a half-hour, I want some crazy mixed in with my celebrity gossip.)

Seriously OMG. The moment I heard that there was a Winchester cameo in WWN, I was SO RIGHT THERE in the story waiting for my copy. Not that I'm obsessed or anything. I just love it when things I love collide!

My aunt's dream job has always been to work for the Weekly World News. She was very sad to hear they'd shut down.

I can understand why. Weekly World News has always been a mecca of tabloid news. If anything she could try and write for them on their website (if she still desires to write for them).

What's more tragic is that the Men in Black will have to find other ways of getting news about alien immigrants.
