May. 27th, 2006 11:23 pm440 entries back on my f-list, and I'm only on May 21. I'm never gonna get through this.
Life: The Musical
Taken from: everyone and their kid brother...
Open your choice of music player and put it on shuffle. Press play. For every question type the song that's on. And when you go to a new question press the next button. No cheating.
Opening Credit: "It's In His Kiss (Shoop Shoop song)" - Betty Everett
That's where it is. Oh yeah.
Waking Up: "Such Great Heights (Iron and Wine)" - The Postal Service
But everything looks perfect from far away,
"come down now," but we'll stay
Sleeping's the most perfect part of the day.
Average Day: "Destroying Angel" - Sneaker Pimps
I'm the glass you break to touch but you never want me much
Sounds like Musical Me's got quite the chip on her shoulder...
First Date: "I Remember/Stranger Than You Dreamt it" - Phantom of the Opera
BAD first date.
Falling in Love: "Maybe Tomorrow" - Stereophonics
Maybe tomorrow I'll find my way home.
Hrm. That says a lot about my love life right there.
Fight Scene: "Rhymes of an Hour" - Mazzy Star
Cannot hear what your saying
Could I tell you so
And I can't believe my troubles
And I'm going home
Quietest fight scene ever.
Breaking Up: "Labour of Love" - Frente!
Why do I feel like I can never find you?
Good reason to break up, that.
Getting Back Together: "Somewhere a Clock Is Ticking" - Snow Patrol
Something happened, that I never understood
(I could do most anything to you)You can't leave, you can't leave
Anything's better than being alone.
Life's Okay: "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" - The Beatles
Life goes on.
THE PERFECT SONG, FINALLY.
Mental Breakdown: "Firefly Theme Song" - Joss Whedon
Take me out to the black
Tell 'em I ain't comin' back
You've taken my love, and my land, and I can't stand up. I think a breakdown's excusable.
Driving: "Prologue" - Phantom of the Opera
AUCTIONEER: And now, lot 665,ladies
and gentlemen: a papier-maché musical box, in the shape of a
barrel-organ. Attatched, the figure of a monkey in Persian
robes, playing the cymbals. This item, discovered in the vaults
of the theatre, still in working order.
PORTER: Showing here.
I don't understand it, but I'll go with it. It's not even music. It's the speaking part. The overture's better for driving, anyway.
Flashback: "There Ain't No Easy Way Out" - Black Rebel Motorcycle
There aint no easy way no there aint no easy way out
There aint no easy way no there aint no easy way out
It repeats FOREVER. In a surreal manner. Like how flashbacks are surreal. [/awkward justification]
Partying: "Wonderboy"--Tenacious D
Won't you take me far away from the muckymuck now?
Again, I don't see how it relates. My partying and my fighting are lame.
Happy Dance: "My Immortal" - Evanescence
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
My meme is broken.
Regretting: "TNT" - AC/DC
(T.N.T.) I'm a power load! (fight! fight !fight!)
(T.N.T.) Watch me exploooooode!
This should totally be my fight song. Maybe I'm regretting the fact that I'm so argumentative?
Long Night Alone: "Sweet Baby James" - James Taylor
And as the moon rises he sits by his fire
Thinking about women and glasses of beer
And closing his eyes as the doggies retire
He sings out a song which is soft but it's clear
As if maybe someone could hear
And we're back to the appropriate answers. This song always makes me feel incredibly alone.
Death Scene: "Big Balls" - AC/DC
If your name is on the guest list
No one can take you higher
Everybody says
I've got
Great balls of fire
What?! This should so be the party song! As much as it makes me laugh, I'd hate for it to the the last thing I hear before I go.
End Credits: "Scarborough Fair" - Simon and Garfunkle
Are you going to Scarborough Fair? Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme.
Remember me to one who lives there, she was once a true love of mine.
THIS SHOULD BE THE DEATH SONG. Since, you know, it's all about human sacrifice and whatnot.
Well, that was fun. I liked especially how most of mine were wildly inappropriate, and how despite the fact that I have a rather large arsenal of music at my disposal I have several songs by the same people.
ETA: So apparently, it only lets you go back so far on your friends list. I got all the way to May 14. If anything happened before then, let me know, okay?

*Dies* That is the funniest thing I have ever seen. You're quite the cheerful person, Alex.

Date: 2006-05-28 02:35 pm (UTC)That kind of marked the starting point for a bunch of stressed-out entries. Some of them were fun. Like this one:
Denis O'Hare got word that he should wear a hat to play presidential killer Charles Guiteau in "Assassins." He resisted. "Oh, hats and canes are very dangerous onstage," he opined. But director Joe Mantello persisted. "In the end, when the executioner takes my hat off," says O'Hare, "it terrifies me."
Kinda random. But it cracked me up and I love me some Denis so I had to spread the love. Then Lost got stupid, I spazzed out over having too much to do, Carrie signed off FOREVER (doesn't get AIM at home) and I mourned, pointless memes, and also an awkward story about listening to the Sex Song from Company in the band room while the oblivious band director was there, evidently not noticing. But that's all.
Hey, if you want a smutdrabble, I have no objection to further requests... ^_^
