stoopbeckWell, I'm back home.
I spent most of today sleeping, lucky me. I didn't wake up until 1 this morning. And then I fell asleep on the couch. And then I lay down in the hammock with a book and decided to "rest my eyes" for an hour. I'll never get to sleep tonight.
My room is crazy. I've got tons and tons of crap to sort through and store and throw away and it's just ridiculous. However, the geckos are set up safely-- they no longer have the mulch, they've got actual legit reptile bedding stuff, and instead of their see-through plastic makeshift cave, they've got a nice rock-looking one. The lady at Petco made me feel completely guilty, and like a horrible mommy, so now I feel better.
Being home is weird, as always. Everyone's used to me not being there, and Danny's so excited he keeps coming up to me, trying to think of things to tell me that would be exciting, and all he can think of is either some plot point in one of his games, or which X-Men characters are in the new movie, and I haven't the heart to tell him that a] I really couldn't care less about his game, that it's only interesting if I have some sort of basis of comparison, and b] that I already know who's in X-3, seeing as how I'm the one who informed him as to the character list. Yes, I am a horrible person.
Also, I'm not liking my computer situation here. Dial-up is the devil, I'm pretty much convinced. And it doesn't help that the moment I'm home, people upload all kinds of nifty [totally legal, of course, yes?] music and movies and episodes that I CAN'T DOWNLOAD HERE. Dad and Mom both have extremely high-speed internet at their places of work, so they feel like it's not really a problem... but it's killing me. Yes, yes, overdramatic... but when one is used to having unlimited information [and fanfic] at one's fingertips, it's a little hard to adjust.
