OMG. Patrick McGoohan was the first choice to play both Dumbledore and Gandalf, but he TURNED THEM DOWN.

This is the same man who, back in the day, turned down the role of James Bond, and suggested they use the relatively unknown Sean Connery instead. Crazy man.

But seriously. As much as I love Richard Harris and Ian McKellan, Patrick McGoohan... would have been so amazingly perfect omg.

Now my brain hurts.

I'll have to find him in a movie that you've seen. Hey, did you ever watch Thomasina? He was the dad in that. That was back in the 60's, but still.

You'd probably have to see him in action before you could make a decision anyway.
