I just remembered something that happened over spring break.

I was sitting in Zaxby's [yay Zaxby's!] with Samantha after watching Ring 2 [the DEER! the DEER!]. I was wearing my Huntingdon sweatshirt. Like always.

Some random guy comes up to us. "I see you're wearing a Huntingdon sweatshirt."

I smiled uncertainly. "Yeah."

"I just noticed, and I happen to go there, so I wanted to come over and see if you were a fan."

"Well, actually... I'm a student there."

He gave me the disbelieving eyebrow. "...You are? What year are you?"

"Sophomore?"

He gave me an even more intense version of the disbelieving eyebrow. "You... a commuter?"

"Uh, no, I live on campus." I gave him my own version of the eyebrow.

"Really? Because so do I. And... I've never seen you."

"Um. I've never seen you... either."

Uncomfortable silence. He went back to his friends.

I swear, though, I had NEVER SEEN the guy before! We've got a pretty teeny campus. I know 'most everybody by their faces. May not know names, but by golly I know faces. This face? Ringing NO bells.

This has happened before. I am confused. Do I have that forgettable a face? Or do I just not get out enough? I saw some guy the other day who I totally swear I'd never seen in my life. There are whole groups of people who only come out for midnight breakfast. It was a crazy surreal experience, and gah.

Now that I'm back, I've been keeping an eye out. No sign of the guy. Hm.

Apparently he does go to Huntingdon-- I saw him at breakfast this morning.

Heh. I totally forgot about that part. Too busy obsessing about deer and lettuce essence on the texas toast, I guess.

I want the, how you say, toasted bread of Texas?

Eww, I had forgotten about the lettuce essence. Heh. The DEER! The DEER!
