Is it sad that I only remember the Spanish word for "bear" because they used it on Lost? Or that I can remember butter because Larry the Cucumber says that he can dance "como mantequilla en un chongo barron"?

I am so in trouble if I ever go someplace that only speaks Spanish.

Me: "Hola. Uh... hola. Uh... er... Mantequilla! Bese el mono! Hormigas!"

Spanish Speaker: *sidles away*

While I'm here... why do people shout louder if someone can't speak their language? This annoys me to no end. Yeah, like shouting makes people understand things any easier. Crazy stupid *grumble grumble grumble*

I had the exact same problem with Latin. I only hope I never end up at a place where people only speak Latin. Chances are good, but you never now.

Now put the Stargate and Atlantis disk and tapes down and slowly step away from them towards your Spanish books. ;)

Stargate fic is so evil. If my boss knew that I stay up 'til 3 in the morning to read fic and am dead tired at work as a result, he would probably fire me. But I am so addicted to them and how am I supposed to go to bed when Danny and Jack are in the middle of a fight?

I really do like it when everything works out fine. I hate when I stay up half the night reading a fic and they have a main character DIE or something... gah.
