WOOOOOOHOOO!

*enthusiastic fist-pumping action followed possibly by a touchdown shimmy*

So I had to write an essay for both Film Studies and English Literature 212. Topic for Film Studies: that oober confusing but oh-so-fun movie Memento. Topic for Brit Lit: that totally awesome cult Brit show from the sixties, "The Prisoner." After talking with Dr Gunther about my subjects for both [I have her for both classes] she told me that, if I was up to it, I could write one paper for both classes, combining the topics for each. It would have to be good, she said. It would have to be well-written and cohesive and concise.

I, as Pink Floyd so aptly put it, "fritter[ed] away the hours in an off-hand way." I kinda did some research. I watched a few eps of "Prisoner." Weeks flew by . And then, suddenly, it was due the next day. I started at 9 pm. I finished at 2:30 am. Guess who got an "A."

I can't remember her comment now, but it was totally sweet. Something on how the paper was a delight. I thought I had failed this paper, thus failing both courses in one fell swoop. Aren't I glad I have a talent for creative bs at short notice?

Now, where was I? Oh, that's right.

WHEEEEHAHAHAHAAA!

ETA: Here's her exact quote: "A pleasure & a delight to read." Let the gloating happiness commence.

Don't you just love teacher's comments...it has a way of making your whole week...i still remember one that my english 101 teacher wrote on my paper about september 11th.....the part i remember said something like...this is a very moving story that was very well written and you should look into getting it published in a maganize to share your experience with the rest of the country.

Her comment is my Christmas present for the year. I'm still aglow.
