I've talked about my fish before in this blogspace. I've gotten two new ones, one for the amazing deal of 14-cent and one for rather more.
The 14-cent one is a beautiful baby platy who as yet is unnamed. She totally fangirls over the other one, a beautiful yellow fantail beta who I've named Tony [for Tony DiNozzo]. His favorite pasttime is looking at himself in the reflection of the aquarium wall. He likes to try and attack the stick-on thermometer on the side of the tank, and will drive himself to the point of exhaustion trying to get at it. We had to put paper over it.
He also tried to attack a snail. Who was thoroughly unimpressed, and carried on with his cleaning of the wall, leaving Tony depressed, his self-confidence shattered. He stayed slumped in the corner for nearly a minute, until he got distracted by his pretty, pretty self in the reflection.
Yay fish!
