Jul. 4th, 2005 09:43 pmSteven King always reads better with a fever, I've found. Normally I can read books and still be seperated from them, but hike my core temperature a few degrees and bam! it's like I'm there. There, in this case, unfortunately is Dreamcatcher, and it does for stomach ailments what The Stand did for the common cold. It's eerily like his other book, From a Buick 8, except on a grand scale-- take that scene with teh dog and multiply it by about a billion.
Plus, you know, the fever. It makes everything more interesting. Hee.
Woo for the 4th, by the way! We just set off an astounding amount of fireworks in our front yard. I still smell of smoke and gunpowder, the best smells in the world. And Mom got me some non-Splenda'd desserts, so for now God's in his heaven and all's right with the world.
