Ever since a bit before Christmas, I've been waiting [in vain, I might add] for my major Christmas present to come. We ordered the first four seasons of Stargate SG-1 on DVD. From China. Yeah. I know.
Anyway, they came in! Sometime this week! And the best part?
They are SO AMAZINGLY BOOTLEG I kid you not. It might just be the fact that they're the Chinese edition, but I have my doubts. The boxes are made of paper. All the pictures and stuff on the box are blurry and/or grainy. The American version has five mini boxes within the big box, each containing a disc containing around four or so episodes. MY version has eight disks, in a flimsy plastic thingie that holds all eight. Some of the discs have links to eps that aren't really on the disc. Some have the wrong name for the episode. Some of them repeat an episode or two. The disk that supposedly has "Shades of Grey" on it may be completely blank [NOOOOOO! NOT SHADES OF GREY!!!! AAAAIEEE!]. I spent most of this afternoon cataloging which disk had which episodes and writing it out for future reference [why, yes, I am OCD, how'd you know?].
I cherish my bootleg DVDs. I've done nothing else for the last weekend but watch them. Yay!
