First things first. My father and I have been reading the Earthsea books for as long as we can remember. He started as a little kid, I started in.. oh, second grade. Dad and I got all set to watch Earthsea, but it was screwed up in the first minute, causing massive brain trauma and an aggressive need for eye bleach. Gah. Then we tried watching Return of the King. He stroked out in the five seconds of battle scene we watched. "Oliphants? OLIPHANTS?? WHAT? THE EAGLES DON'T COME UNTIL PIPPEN GETS CRUSHED! GAHHHH!!" So we ended up watching the old Chuck Jones' How The Grinch Stole Christmas. Ahhh.

Now. Speaking of massive brain trauma... there's this man in Pheonix who was driving on the highway, set his car to cruise control, and climbed up to the roof. He stood there with his arms outstretched until he either fell or jumped. As tragic [don't laugh... don't laugh... whatever you do, don't think of Titanic... gah] as this is, it gets worse. Turns out the reason he did it is he had tapeworms in his brain. Yup, ladies and gentlemen. Tapeworms. In. His. BRAIN. Here's a link; I'd make it all pretty and linky but I have no idea how.

Keep scrolling down after the article. It's got some of the most frightening pictures about halfway or so down. *shudders* It's a condition called neurocysticercosis. They can grow up to 20 centimeters long. 20 freaking centimeters. As if I didn't have enough to be paranoid about. Now I have to worry about parasitic larva boring their way into my brain! GAH!
