stoopbeck: (I need my Stargate crack!)
Uuuuurgggghh...

Note to self: going to bed at 2:30 is not a good idea.

Thinking you can wake right up again at 8:00 after getting four hours of sleep the previous night is also a bad idea.

Sleeping until 9:30 isn't so much a bad idea as an unwise decision [bad idea].

This is especially true when I have loads of stuff I should be doing, finishing several papers and studying for a test.

But what am I doing right now?

Posting.

I'm thinking that was a bad idea as well.

Oh, well.

Hee.
stoopbeck: (Who in the what now?)
I should have known today would be interesting when I found myself drawing "chickamoeba" in Dr Rohlig's class.

I got my "surprise" today, and it's made me ridiculously happy-- "Has Been," Shatner's new album. Woo! I can't wait to listen to it... but I'm making myself wait until I get a few more pages done. Robyn's told me about this "delayed gratification" thing, and I'm hoping it will be incentive enough for me to get a few more pages down on this stupid paper.

In other news...

Why is it that the DH seems to be physically incapable of making good red beans and rice? It's a ridiculously simple meal to make. That's why people have been making it since time immemorial. Today's attempt had miscellaneous frightening meat chunks and little white things that I thought were okra seeds but turned out to be bellpepper seeds, which SHOULD NOT EVEN BE IN RED BEANS AND RICE! GAH! It's nice that they put bellpepper in, it adds flavor, but if they can't even be brought to take the freaking seeds out... I guess I'm just spoiled. Both of my parents make RB&R that is to die for. Literally. There are people gunning each other down in the streets as we speak. And it might just be that I grew up in a place where everyone eats them once a week so my veiw is skewed, but still... gah.

Aww... good mood gone bye-bye... must work on paper now... then I can listen to The Shat sprechstimme!
