My brother had a Boy Scout banquet this week, and I went because hey, free food, and it was kind of awesome. Dad and I got into an impromptu basketball game (which consisted of us spastically throwing balls and hoping they'd end up near the net, and pretending to look competant anytime anyone looked in), and the actual banquet went well, which was good for Danny, as he is the Patrol Leader.

Best part, though: so, during the banquet, we're sitting next to one of the boy's moms, whose previous job was Deep Space Radar Telemetry at NORAD. STARGATE WHAT.

My birthday was really nice. It's the first time I've been home for my birthday in a long time, and we had sushi and apple pie, and I ate way too much. Good times! And I was given The Adventures of Baron Munchausen and S1 of Criminal Minds, so woo!

My body woke me up at 4 this morning. This is not cool, body. Although this did give me the opportunity to catch up on email and f-list.

12 million shades of awesome!!!!

Did you ask her if she was assigned to an off-world team?

Isn't it just?

No, but we engaged in rampant speculation on the way home as to why exactly we only see her husband at night, and why he always wears a hat... HE'S TOTALLY A JAFFA. TRUFAX.

*is not thinking about what it means to be married to a Jaffa and what kinky sex acts can be enacted with a stomach pouch....*

Holy shit, there is now Coke all over my laptop screen, and in my keyboard, and on my wall, and in my printer...

Well, I did. But that doesn't change the fact that you are one.

Also, it is nice to see that you are still one. We need to talk more.

About naked people and such.

If anything, my perversion has grown.

Which naked people would you like to talk about?

[identity profile] roadrunner1896.livejournal.com 2008-05-14 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know. Bandom does that to you. :p

I always want to talk about naked Callum, (Hugh) and Paul, but I will also happily listen to things about naked Gerad.

Or other pretty people. I am not too picky usually.

Bandom lowers all inhibitions.

Actually, bandom is getting me back to original fiction, so I'd like to not knock it too hard since original fiction is the thing I've been struggling to get back to for four years now.

I'm fond of many naked people. Naked Jack, naked Sirius, naked Daniel. . . .

Which is why I am staying away from it. Except for the picspammy posts. Some of these people are really pretty and nice to look at.

YAY! original fiction.

I like naked Jack, naked Sirius and naked Daniel, too. Neither of them has visited me recently, though. Neither naked, nor dressed.

I did have a visit from John Crichton, though. He likes Paul a lot.

Sadly no. He wore his leather pants. Paul was naked, though. :D

Indeed. :D

Naked people in my journal! This is like the best thing ever to find on my lunch break.

Also, huzzah for original fic!

Hey! My brother had a Boy Scout Ceremony this week! Though my sister wasn't so happy about her birthday. As for early morning wake-ups, I've been having late night goings-to-sleep. My body hasn't let me go to sleep before 3am the last couple of nights. So many silly things in common. :P

Glad your brother's thing when well and that you had a good birthday!

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2008-05-14 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, that's awesome! Not the bit about the late-night problems. Normally that's my issue, so I'm not happy that my body decided to shake things up a bit and wake me super early. Of course, I was totally ready when it was time for work, which is a plus.

[identity profile] dragonbetween.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Weird, but awesome. And late night problems always stink! I'm sorry we're both having them. But it is always nice to be ready to go in the morning.

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2008-05-15 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
I hate having late-night problems! I enjoy my sleep, dangit!

Yeah, it was nice to get to work and not feel like a zombie for once.

Kind of random: are you going to D*Con this year? Because the Stargate lineup is starting to look pretty awesome, and I am getting excited... :D :D

It made me so incredibly happy.
