(no subject)

So I got tired of my eyebrows last night. (Always a fun way to start a post, right?)

I'm not really sure why, other than the fact that it was late and I was both tired and wired on caffeine, and the fact that I realized that my eyebrows were lurking menacingly over my eyeballs just like two horizontal tarantulas, hoping to ensnare any flies or moths or small birds that might happen along the way.

I learned a valuable lesson last night: don't fuck around with eyebrows. Especially if you are just enough OCD to drive yourself crazy. You know that episode with Monk and his sideburns? That was me last night, at two in the morning. Except crazier. And more obsessive.

They look fine this morning. But I'm pretty sure they looked fine last night, before I went after them. I need to stay away from scissors.

In other news. OMG, NaNoWriMo! How can it already be almost October?! Anyone signing up?

I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing over here. I am glad that your eyebrows are still looking fine. I was picturing you having to draw them on or something.

And hey, what ever happened to hanging out?

Hehehehehe! Well, it didn't get that bad, but I was pretty convinced sometime around 2 in the morning that I would just have to shave them off and start over. It was awful! But funny now.

Dude, that's right. When are you free?

Hmm, that's actually a good question. I'm not sure. I guess that would be a helpful bit of information...

Okay, I'm supposed to be off on Monday BUT things have been crazy and keep changing every five minutes so there's just no telling. More on that later.

However, Melyssa is tentatively coming to visit October 25th-28th. She has some rental car issues to deal with and if she gets them fixed, she will be here. A reunion would be fun. Go lay in the road at ASF and find some weave lying on the walking trail... how about it?

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2007-09-28 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
Okie dokie.

I think a reunion sounds awesome. Count me in!

I've always wanted to do NaNoWriMo but I wouldn't have the time to dedicate to it.

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2007-09-24 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah. It would be an amazing thing to do, but... eh. Every year I've tried, life's gotten in the way.

I learned a valuable lesson last night: don't f### around with eyebrows

GASP!!

Yeah, eyebrows can be treacherous foes. Especially when they're not symmetrical in the first place, like mine! We should trade eyebrow battle tactics sometime. ;)

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2007-09-25 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Mine aren't either! Which really annoys me. They're more symmetrical now, goshdarnit!

I'd love to exchange tactics.

don't fuck around with eyebrows

One of life's great truths.

I need to stay away from scissors

You took scissors to your EYEBROWS?!!!! I'm picturing you, looking in your bathroom mirror, trying to trim your eyebrows with a gargantuan pair of kitchen shears. That's the image I'm getting, and I can't stop laughing. I guess it's not as painful as tweezers. Provided you don't slip.

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2007-09-25 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Okay. Eyebrow trimming with kitchen shears = funny. Except when I read your comment, I pictured garden shears. That was even funnier.

Well, no, tweezers were involved, too, but my eyebrow hairs are all like an inch long. And I have these tiny wickedly sharp scissors.

(but I like the kitchen shears idea)

yeah...I've used a pair that go with my small sewing kit before... Opportune time for your post, as well. I just had mine waxed today. :p It's amazing how over time it just almost stops hurting...or stops hurting as bad, anyway. I still dread it, though. Glad they turned out ok. :)
