Woo, randomness....
So. Today was a day filled with randomness.
Like, what was a Hawaiian Mardi Gras lady doing in the Dining Hall tonight? Will we ever find out? My favorite theory is that everyone convinced her that tonight was the Halloween Dressup Night for the DH workers, and then snickered behind her back as she set off to find a costume.
Or the random science experiment tonight with Robyn's lettuce, some water, and a whole lot of salt.
Or the mini ant on my computer screen today. Really, what? No, what?
Or the random tangents in Dr Rohlig's class today. I think we were talking about atheism, and we ended up hearing a thirty minute story about his spiritual experiences as a German POW in France. Not that it was a bad thing. I love hearing his stories. He cracks me up. Especially his trading his mad piano skilz at the POW hospital in return for not having everyone's limbs amputated, but he had to play in his bandages and he could only use one hand...
Or the random freak out that just occurred in our room... so we're watching a special on soldier ants and something touched Sarah and we freaked out and laughed and cried and yeah.
Best of all, my favorite random thing today. So I'm coming out of Music and the Christian Faith. And I'm totally out of it, because during the twenty minutes before the thirty minute random tangent by Dr Rohlig I was nodding off. I was really tired, apparently. Anyway. Some guy comes up to me. This is the conversation that ensued.
RandomGuy: Hey, thanks for last night. You were awesome.
Me: Uh... what? [panicky confusion]
RandomGuy: Last night. You were great. Thanks. [looooong pause]
Me: [suddenly recognizing him as the vampire from last night's Freshman Forum Halloween Party] Oh, yeah, right... no, you're welcome... [edges away quickly]
There were probably more random instances, but I don't remember them right now. And hee... to get out of doing anything productive, I'm watching a Spanish soap opera... crazy! I can only understand about every third word or so, and it's strange random words...
Angry Bitter Spanish Soap Opera Guy: Blah blah car blah blah talking blah much, much more.
Hurt Jealous Spanish Soap Opera Chick: Blah surprised blah blah blah orange blah blah love.
ABSSOG: NO! You blah blah dance blah mirror!
HJSSOC: Blah! Blah airport blah fork!
*sigh* And now I can't put studying off any longer...

no subject
Ayeeeee... ¡Hormigas!
::turns red::
But it was really freaky!! What are the chances something would randomly touch me as we were commenting on the solder ant's insanely large pinches?! ::tries to get breathing under control::
There were probably more random instances, but I don't remember them right now.
There was also that random question from me about being sore. *g*
HJSSOC: Blah! Blah airport blah fork!
¡Tenedor!
*GASP*
How could I have forgotten that totally awesome random moment?
What exactly did you say? I can't remember... Something along the lines of you busting into the room, first thing you say: "Are you sore?"
Ha... that made my day, and I forgot it! I'm so sorry, will you ever forgive me?
Why DO you build me up?
Forgive me for the "science experiment" with my food today. I can do the birthday walk and play with my food and gorge on doritos if I want to because it's my day. I also reserve the right to be indecisive.
::rips pore strip off face:: OWWWW! Anyway, that conversation with random guy? Hilarious! I was trying to imagine all the horrible ways it could've possibly ended, but then I understood as the pieces of the puzzle were gradually revealed.
Dance mirror orange airport fork? Wot wot!
*SNORT*
