Cap'n, thar be whales here!

So.

Last night Sarah and I stayed up rather late watching Angel episodes. We got to bed around 1, 1:30, something like that. I was very very tired. After the campus noise quieted down somewhat, I finally got to sleep.

Only to be awoken by the tornado sirens.

At 7:15 in the morning.

So Laura, Sarah, and I got to spend thirty minutes in a cramped downstairs hallway filled to bursting with panicky noisy people. Fun stuff, I kid you not. *sigh*

But on the plus side, when I finally joined the land of the living today, I got a balloon and birthday crepe paper thrown at me! Hee! And I got taken out to Moe's. Huzzah.

What really is cracking me up right now? What with all the people moving stuff out and putting things back together and scraping furniture along the floor above us, it sounds like a sinking submarine in my room. I keep expecting to hear the funny-sounding alarm and then get swept away by a lot of water.

You got "sinking submarine"?

I got "frantic humping sex on a stack of silverware." Not fun sounds.

Heheheh.

And... ew.

Seriously, I'd rather hear the sound of imminent sudden death by crushing freezing water" than "frantic humping sex on a stack of silverware" anyday.

Where's my brain squeegee?

[identity profile] otakuoverlorde.livejournal.com 2005-05-02 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
You and me both.

Sorry for the oogy mental image. I don't have a squeegee, but I have brain bleach...

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2005-05-02 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
See, I usually use the bleach for my eyes, and the squeegee for my brain. But I think this case is a special circumstance. Thanks for the bleach.

Again, *hands you her squeegee*

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2005-05-02 06:59 am (UTC)(link)
*grabs squeegee, applies vigorously*

Where would I be without you?

You would be in the Land of the Squeegeeless... so sad.

The Land of the Squeegeeless

Banananaaaaa!

Why, yes, I am. How'd you know?

It's also known as the "Special Crack of Subsisting On 2 1/2 Hours of Sleep And Then Last Minute Cramming For A Physical Science Final."

And now my icon makes me want to watch Book. And Mal. And Jayne. And Simon. And Wash. :D Is it September yet? Is it seriously sad that I want to watch the trailer five or six more times RIGHT NOW?

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2005-05-02 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Because I am so extremely tired and stressed, when I read your icon for the first time for some reason it came out as "Let the meat cake." I am still deeply amused. Thought you'd like to know.

We All Live On a Yellow Submarine

Aww, I hate that I missed the sinking submarine that is moving-out day. I also hate that I missed birthday Moe's. I know this is late, but Happy Birtday Sunshine! I'm sorry. Forgive me?

Hee hee... they were birthdaying me early. My real birthday's on the 13th, so don't feel bad.

We missed you at birthday Moe's. There was no shrieking demonic child or bean-happy scoop man, but it was okay. :D

*sigh of relief* Well, I'm glad I didn't miss the actual day, because I was feeling like a terrible friend.

No bean-happy scoop man? Aww, perhaps he didn't push enough beans so they axed him. Or maybe it was just his day off. Whichever.

I a-salt you!

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2005-05-02 08:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Aww, don't feel like a terrible friend! :D

I bet the bean-happy scoop man realised that he could be spreading the message of Bean Love to The World, and left to do so. Or maybe he just got fired.
