Ah, the joy of raking in Christmas loot. The best part? Some of the stuff people sent still hasn't come in yet. So Christmas keeps going on and on! Yay!

Swag count so far:
-fuzzy gloves
-real-live mittens, something I haven't had since I was about two and too uncoordinated to really care about being able to move my fingers
-an elephant good luck bracelet, and some nifty earings
-two pullover soft'n'fuzzy shirt/sweater thingies
-freaking awesome silk pajamas
-a "good luck frog" or "money frog" or whatever it's called-- three legs, coin in it's mouth, and freaking ugly, but I love it...
-candy!
-a Swiss Army Hat, coincidentally a hat that Tintin wears in his exploits and a hat that I have lusted after since the first grade
-a sweatshirt. Front caption: Napoleon World Tour [with a distressed pic of him on his rearing horse]

Book Loot:
-Collected works of the following: e.e. cummings, Emily Dickonson, and... another poet, whose name escapes me but who also totally rocks
-Idiot's Guide to Creative Writing [a hint from my parents? Hmm..]
-On Writing by Steven King, which is now my all-time favorite book EVER

Here's hoping everyone out there had a Merry Christmas... and will have a Happy New Year. I know I will, what with mittens and gloves and my sweatshirt and my books...

Pippin Christmas and a Merry New Year! wait...

On Writing is teh coolpants! Hehehe, Steven King, what a character.

But that's not all you'll be getting! My gift shall reach you... someday... ;-)

Love your Napolean sweatshirt, hehehe. LOVE YOUR SCARF! OMG IT'S SO LOVELY WEARING IT NOW! *cuddles fringe* Oh it's coming frayed... fiddlesticks... *plays with fringe* No matter, still pretteh! Forkin' GORGEOUS, in fact! Everyone has complimented me, and I always say "I know! It was hand-made!! By someone I haven't even met! I love her!"

Wheeeeeeeeee. ^_^

Hee!

Awww! Now I feel all warm and fuzzy, and I don't think it's just my Napolean sweatshirt! ;D 'm so glad you liked it! You almost didn't get it, in fact, because it was such a pretty color, and so soft... *mildly evil laugh*

And oh no! Fray? *frets*

My gift shall reach you... someday... ;-)

And hey... that's right! Something more to look forward to! *ponders possibilities*

DUDE! You got the Napoleon shirt? I am sooooooooooo jealous!!

We had a white Christmas in Tennessee. *gloats* But the roads were really icy and it was freaking COLD...

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 04:01 am (UTC)(link)
We-eell... technically I got the Napoleon sweatshirt. Which also rocks. But I think I will invest in a shirt, just because it's kinda hard to wear a sweatshirt year-round. If I do pick one up, want me to send you the site [that's hoping I can find it!] or pick one up for you? Because... really... it rocks. Mightily.

And can you feel the intense waves of jealousy from there? Because I Am. So. Freaking. Jealous. Are you kidding me? SNOW?! And you didn't send any down here? That's it! You're off the will again, sorry.

I have proclaimed this year's stash of Christmas goodies my "booty"... as in pirates booty. I hope you will bring some of your booty so my booty will have a friend. ;)

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2004-12-27 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee... I came dangerously close to calling my stash "booty," but I decided in favor of "swag" and "stash." Booty...

Whenever I hear it [Pirates' Booty, y'all...] I think of this time I went to Six Flags and did this VR thing where we were pirates, trying to get to the Pirates' Booty. We had to push buttons and flail with "swords" and scream stuff. The people watching us must have been deeply amused. Here were about thirty people, all sitting in chairs, flailing spastically, VR masks on, screaming "I WANT THE BOOTY! GIVE ME THE BOOTY! WHERE IS THE BOOTY?! AAAARRRR! I WANT THE BOOTY NOW!"

Hee. Good times, good times. And don't worry. I shall bring my swag to meet your booty, and good times will be had by all. Do you think your Stargate DVDs will be friends with my Stargate DVDs? Hopefully so, because rivalry between DVD sets is an ugly thing to behold.

I WANT THE BOOTY! GIVE ME THE BOOTY!

Hee. Oh, the things we do to keep Melyssa happy. Although, I must admit, it was quite fun.

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2004-12-30 03:02 am (UTC)(link)
Hee. Yup, it was fun... I just wish I had realized the difference between when we were supposed to be pushing the "sword" button and when we were supposed to be waving our invisible swords. Heee...

Do you think your Stargate DVDs will be friends with my Stargate DVDs?

As long as yours don't try to live on the same shelf as mine. They like their space. Especially now that I will be adding S7 to them when I get back. ;)

[identity profile] stoopbeck.livejournal.com 2004-12-30 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sure my DVDs will stay in their own space. And ooh! S7!

Can I bring my loot to meet Sarah's booty and Alex's swag?

Hee!

And maybe even Laura's stash will join us...

Ah, what a crowded cluster it will be...
