LOCATION: Exterior abandoned swimming pool, day.
Our intrepid heroes have boldly ventured forth to the old swimming pool, abandoned lo these five or six years. It is a creepy place. The waters where children once played are now murky and dark, covered in duckweed and rotted vegetation and frogs the size of small cats. Not even the brightly shining sun can dispell the air of desolation that surrounds it. Yes, it's the perfect place for another episode in THE CONTINUING ADVENTURES OF ALEX. [and Danny.]
Alex: Hey, that thing down there? Looks kinda like a ...turtle arm. In the pool. *gets it out with stick*
Alex: Whaddya know? It is a turtle arm. ...Just the arm.
Danny: THAT'S SICK. IT'S JUST AN ARM.
Alex: Oh, so it'd be fine if there'd been a whole dead turtle on the bottom of the pool?!
Danny: YES. At least then it wouldn't have been just an ARM.
Alex: Do you have a thing about disembodied arms?
Danny: Disembodied anything. Zombies, now, I don't have a problem with zombies. Zombies are easy. Shotgun'll take care of 'em. Easy.
Alex: What if you don't have a shotgun?
Danny: Then I beat 'em to death with something. Like that rock right there.
Alex: That looks like a good place for snakes.
Danny: Then I beat the zombie to death with a snake.
Alex: What if... Uh, what's that in the water?
[Eyes have emerged from the water. We are now being watched by about ten pairs of eyes. In the water.]
Alex: Uh, do you see eyes?
Danny: Oh... my...
More eyes: *appear*
Danny: OH... MY... *hyperventilates*
Alex: Oh, wait, those are bullfrogs.
[long pause]
Danny: ...Well, at least they weren't zombies.

I mean, we have two writers (you, me) and an illustrator (Erica). We could make it happen! ;)
